Did I really read the ending first? You bet I did!!
I do not like surprises. I wanted to know who if any characters died and if the ending was a happy one. Now, I’m reading the book from the beginning without the thrill of anticipation that causes me to pace in movie theaters. I’ve never liked surprises and I suppose it’s why my boys have always enjoyed jumping out to scare me in the dark.
When the kids took me to see “The Mummy” Todd didn’t want to sit next to me. “She’ll jump and throw her popcorn all over me!” was his reason. The website Screeit an excellent site for getting all the information on a film before you see it. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on “No Thanks” to get into the site. This site will tell you exactly how many times something is said, done or shown in the film. I highly recommend this site if you have children in the home no matter the age. One of the specifics is “jump scenes”. It took me a while to figure out what a “jump scene” is. It’s when a scene in the film makes a person jump. Well, evidently I jump more than others for I find the rating to be quite low.
