Ready or not, the holiday season is upon us.
When our children were growing up we had an angel atop the tree. When Brian was in kindergarten he made a gold glittered star which replaced the angel until 2000. Then for a few years we had a big bow with long streamers at the top of the tree. But last year we didn’t top the tree with anything. I think I like it that way.

Ever since we bought our own house we have had a real tree. I grew up with fake and my husband grew up with real. The real tree has become our tradition. We have a star and an angel and it changes each year.

No Christmas tree here…we are Jewish. Still I love to see all of the amazing Christmas lights and trees because they are beautiful.

We have a fake tree. If the kids make something we put it on top. If they don’t I put a angel dressed in green velvet dressed on top.

Artificial although I'm hoping that one of these years I can convince Hubby that our nearly 20 ft ceilings would love wonderful w/ a huge tree stretching up to meet them! AND I have an Angel up top on one & bows on the other.

This year we just bought a little fake table top tree that sits on top of the book shelf…otherwise our son would wreck it for sure! We tried to put the Angel Moroni on the top, but it’s too big for our little tree so right no there’s nothing 🙂

I’d LOVE to have a real tree — they are so beautiful, smell so fragrant and if it were not for my issue with thinking that there still may be something living in it…we’d have one. With that said…ours it a tall, skinny pre-lit (white lights) tree with 3 years worth of ornaments on it (how long we’ve been married) — on the top is the star.

Hi Cathi, I’m your partner for Kailani’s ornament exchange. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog. You have a beautiful family! Since you’ve got your tree up I’d really like to get your ornament out to you. Can you email me your mailing address?
Thanks

We are the fake, faux, artificial tree people. Ron’s allergies have kept us from having a real tree each year.
We have a gold star on the top of our tree. We used to have a porclein doll until se got broken.
