We’re pretty crazy about lettuce wraps. While the wraps we’ve enjoyed in restaurants consisted of meat wrapped in lettuce, we decided to add a little garnish. These healthy lettuce wraps are easy peasy and you can make them just how you want.
Add ingredients or leave some of our favorites out. It’s up to you. This is how we make them and we think they’re simply perfect!
What you’ll need:
1 pound ground lean turkey (or ground meat of choice)
1 clove garlic – pressed
1 – 2 tablespoons minced or shaved ginger
1/4 Teriyaki sauce
2 – 3 carrots shredded
4 – 6 radishes – shredded
1 – 2 cups bean sprouts
1 head of butter lettuce. The leafs are perfect for lettuce wraps!
Hoisin sauce or Asian sauce of choice
Cook 1 pound of ground turkey. Add 1/4 Teriyaki sauce,
and 1 clove pressed garlic.
Add 1 – 2 tablespoons shredded ginger.
Wash and dry butter lettuce leaves.
Rinse 1 – 2 cups bean sprouts.
Shred 2 – 3 carrots.
Shred 4 – 6 radishes.
Follow your taste buds and add your favorite vegetables along with the sprouts, carrots and radishes.
Spoon hot ground turkey mixture on lettuce leaves.
Add shredded carrots, radishes and bean sprouts.
If desired add Asian sauce or the like.
Enjoy!
