We spent last evening with our two youngest grandchildren at Disney On Ice ‘Dare To Dream,’ produced by Feld Entertainment. Feld Entertainment is dedicated to “Creating Lifelong Memories … One Act At A Time.”
It was magical … ‘Disney magical.’ From beginning to end. But the magic hasn’t ended. Nor have the dreams.
Disney On Ice “Dare To Dream” brings Princesses Tiana, Cinderella, and Rapunzel together to celebrate the magic of wishes come true. The magical memories are still alive as our grandchildren act out as their favorite characters. Those they watched perform … on ice, no less!
A few very familiar Disney characters, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald Duck, were gliding and dancing on the ice as they introduced each delightful story to come.
First was the inspiring story of Tiana and her frog Prince. Yes, The Princess and the Frog!
The costumes, props, lighting and staging were all amazing. The ice skating skills of the performers were nothing short of spectacular. (Those are six-foot wide wing spoonbill costumes!)
Next was the fairytale story of Cinderella. “Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo” and all. After the clock struck midnight for Cinderella, lo and behold, it was time for intermission. And, as Cinderella must have also thought, “Where did the time go?!” (Cinderella will always be one of my favorite Princesses!)
After intermission the search was on for the special owner of the glass slipper.
Rapunzel’s story was the next to be told. Our little granddaughter loved the antics (and acrobatics) of Rapunzel in ‘Tangled.’
This story was our grandson’s favorite of the night, too. He loved Flynn Rider and especially the massive ice skating horse Maximus.
The special qualities of Rapunzel’s hair were magically displayed.
Our grandson left the arena with not one, but two Flynn Rider swords!
Not to mention the cotton candy (and crown), Dippin’ Dots ice cream, popcorn, lemonade, and snow cone that were enjoyed during the performance. Many other concessionary items were also readily available, in addition to a beautiful and colorful 36 plus page program.
The two hours of magical entertainment seemed to just glide by. And after the happy story endings, Mickey and Minnie were on hand to bid everyone a fond farewell.
And … the dreams go on!
We received four complimentary tickets to Disney On Ice ‘Dare To Dream’ to facilitate our review. ‘Dare To Dream’ truly is one of the most delightful performances we have experienced. All thoughts, opinions, magical memories, and photos (with the exception of ‘Disney On Ice’ logo and discount flyer), are ours. Photos may not be reproduced without written permission.
