David:
It’s the time of year for summer grilling.
And who doesn’t enjoy a good barbecue?
To get ready for the summer season, we uncovered our BBQ and prepped it for use.
We’ve always had to be prepared for when the kids had friends over for the weekend, or for planned or impromptu parties … sometimes with 30 or more kids.
Beef Kabobs
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds Cattleman’s Finest Steak for Grilling
- 1 – 2 cups Pineapple
- 8 – 10 small onions
- 2 – 3 Bell Peppers of your choice
- 2 Sweet Potatoes
- 8 – 10 Small Potatoes
- 8 – 10 Skewers
The great thing about grilling kabobs are the endless possibilities.
You can stick anything that will grill on a skewer.
Beef, pork, chicken. You name it.
Make each kabob the same or mix it up.
Make the kabobs alone or have everyone skewer their own.
Kabobs are delicious and fun!
They can be geared for almost anyone’s taste.
- Trim the Cattleman’s Finest Steak for Grilling and cut into bite size pieces.
- Mix the steak and your favorite marinade together. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Peel the sweet potatoes.
- Cut the sweet potatoes into bite size pieces.
- Peel the onions. If you’re using larger onions, cut them into bite size pieces.
- Slice the bell peppers in half. Trim away the seeds and pith.
- Cut the bell peppers into, you got it, bite size pieces.
- Skewer the beef, vegetables and pineapple as desired.
- Grill on high for 5 minutes.
- Carefully flip the kabobs over and grill for another 5 to 10 minutes or more depending on your taste. Flip more often if desired. Just be careful not to burn yourself!
Serve with rice or salad or fresh fruit. Or any side dish you’d like. Then …
Enjoy!
