If your children and/or grandchildren like to read like ours do, the Big Book of Where would be an asset to your home library. Time For Kids has outdone itself with this colorful, information packed, can’t-put-it-down book for kids. The Big Book of Where has unique information from cover to cover about everything. From history to geography to science … and everything in between, it’s exactly what most kids like to read about.
Our thirteen year old grandson has been reading since before he started kindergarten. He can’t sit still for any short period of time without something to read. While he reads novels like nobody’s business, by far his favorite books are about odd and unusual things. His father was the same way. Brian had to have a book in hand at all times; and still does to this day. We keep mini libraries in our cars just to keep the grands entertained while driving.
The Big Book of Where is the ultimate kind of book that captures the grands’ attention. It’s full of brightly colored photos and explains things like: where LEGOs were invented; where electricity comes from; where the world’s oldest mummy was discovered; where the longest railroad is; where the purest air is; where you can see caves lit by glowworms; where the biggest diamond was found, etc. And so much more!
The photography is fabulous! The ‘Road of Death’ pictured above would be scary enough to read about. But add the windy road lined by cliffs and, well, the facts become wicked scary! Just what boys want to know all about! (And our granddaughter too!) Each topic includes an explanation/description, locator’s globe, photos and map.
When I was a child, I wanted to be an astronaut and go into space. I would have been so excited to read and see the photos of where Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Literally over the moon excited I tell you!
The Big Book of Where is a perfect summer read for kids of all ages. It’ll keep minds stimulated while on school summer holiday. Cody will be going into the 4th grade, which is a big milestone for him. When he does head back to school, his mind will be full of the interesting facts he read about in the Big Book of Where.
How much does Cody like the Big Book of Where? Well … just take a look! Can’t sleep, but he can read!
The Big Book of Where is available in book stores and on Amazon. But we have a copy for one lucky Simple Sojourns reader!
