We’ve come to a big realization at our house. Big! As grandparents, we tend to buy/give our grandchildren anything they want. Yep. We’re ‘those’ grandparents. While it’s truly harmless in the big scheme of things, we realized that while we prepare healthy meals, usually organic and natural, there’s still that ever filled to the brim ‘treat’ drawer that they’re drawn to over and over and over again. A plethora of candy, and snacks that by no means can be labeled healthy, organic or natural is there for the taking.
So we’re on a bit of a crusade. We’re searching for snacks the grands will want to eat. Snacks they’ll ask for. And first up is Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips. We’ve served them with hummus and also salsa. Both were a hit.
Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips with Garden Ranch flavor taste so good there’s no need for a calorie filled dip. The flavor is all inclusive with every single chip. And the barbecue flavored Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips are simply delicious!
Green Giant has ben a trusted name for years. I grew up with the jolly guy pitching his vegetables on television commercials. I’m good with him. I trust him. So giving his veggie snack chips a go was a no brainer. Green Giant veggie snack chips are made with real vegetables. While they do not replace the needed vegetables in our diet, they do provide us with a snack that is healthy and tasty. I also think that children (and adults) will give vegetables they avoid a second chance after eating veggie chips. Just saying!
Our family favored the Sweet Potato Chips. That surprised me since up to this point, I have been the only sweet potato fan. Surprise, surprise! Both varieties disappeared quickly. We’re on the road to healthier snacking at our house and it feels good.

We’re anxious to try Green Giant’s Zesty Cheddar Roasted Tortilla Chips and the Sea Salt Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips. We think Veggie Snack Chips are perfect for Back to School lunches and after school snacks. How about you? What flavor/kind of Green Giant’s new Veggies snack chips would you favor?
