~ Minecraft Junkie
This week we got the biggest kick out of our ten-year old grandson. He’s a bit of a Minecraft junkie. He has three devices going here: iMac, iPad and Macbook. He’s playing 2 different characters in the same ‘world’ on 2 screens, and following hints on the 3rd. Kind of like playing against yourself in chess, without having to get up and walk around to the other side of the game board. Ha! And if we didn’t set certain time limitations (and if school hadn’t started!), this little Minecraft junkie might still be playing!

I just followed you on bloglovin! My daughter’s both play minecraft on their ipods (ages 7-9). Have you seen the songs? Don’t Mine at Night? I am not sure what it is with this game…do you pay every month to play online, or just once. My daughter’s have been begging, but I am afraid it will end up being expensive!

It was so fun to watch him play! But yes, I think he’d still be sitting there playing 😉

I’m going to put together an activity jar with different things the grands can do. They will have to choose an activity (read a book aloud, draw a picture, write a story, find something specific and photograph it …..) to break up the time they spend doing their favorite things. I’m also on a crusade to find healthy snacks that they’ll ask for. Ha!

Wow! It’s really a different world for kids with technology. My daughters had some video games growing up, but nothing like what’s available these days! It will be fun to watch my grandsons enjoy technology like yours!

My grandson plays Minecraft constantly and he loves the game. Now that school will be starting he will only be allowed to play on the weekends.
