There are two lions that greet all visitors at the New York City Library. Their names are Patience and Fortitude. There are two (much smaller) lions that greet everyone who comes to our front door. They too are called Patience and Fortitude. As their larger cousins in NYC, our Patience and Fortitude often don holiday hats. At Christmas time they always wear their Santa hats. As you can see … Fortitude wears it well.
