David (aka ‘NY’) and I love to garden. While I don’t have nearly the ‘green thumb’ he does, I thoroughly enjoy the time spent. Our garden area is not very large so we have to make the best use of the space we have. We just planted tomato and potted herb plants and look forward to the results. We’re already using the fresh herbs almost daily! We have plans (and wishful thinking) for future garden projects, some of which include ideas found about how does your garden grow on Pinterest.

I love using fresh herbs. I love snipping off exactly what I need and adding the deliciously fresh ingredients to our food. We’re even giving our daughter-in-law herbs and herb scissors for Mother’s Day. I am over the moon in love with the delightful Watercolor Herb Seed Packet Printable and Gift Idea from Lucy at Craftberry Bush. You simply have to check her out. She’s incredibly talented!

Isn’t this climbing Coral Honeysuckle vine beautiful? We have several places in our yard just waiting for something like this.

I love blueberries and actually eat them most everyday. Depending on the season, blueberries can be quite costly. We’d love to grow our own and The Paleo Mama has everything we need to know to Grow Blueberries Anywhere You Live.

Our kids grew up on 4 acres, far from any neighbors. In addition to a very large garden, I had chickens, ducks, turkeys, cows, and pigs. It was an educational and adventurous environment for the kids to experience. I miss that barnyard setting. Especially now that I’m eating vegan chicken eggs. Sounds odd right? But as a gluten-free ovo-vegetarian my options can be limited. Grass fed eggs are sometimes not so easy to find, so I’m ready to have the girls chickens running loose in the barnyard backyard again. If you’re having the urge for fresh eggs like I am, you’re going to love Ashley’s Raising Chickens for Beginners post.

It’s official! You can now buy most anything at Costco. I’m loving Trixie’s Chicken Coop with a View. After all, if you’re going to have happy chickens, they might as well live comfortably … and with a view!

I’m thinking this awesome DIY Mason Jar Herb Garden Kit would be a perfect Mother’s Day gift for that special person that loves to garden and/or create delicious meals in the kitchen. It comes with everything one would need!

There are too many reasons to try and list why it’s better not to use pesticides in our yard. That’s why I’m excited about Jami’s Homemade Garlic-Mint Garden Spray.

A garden is beautiful, plain and simple. But add these Copper Plant Markers and even your crops might grow a little taller and prouder. *wink*
