Am I the only person on the planet that thinks household necessities seem to add up to more than I spend on food sometimes? It seems more and more is spent on laundry products, personal products (shampoo/conditioner), household cleaning products, paper products, etc. Enter Scott® 1000 bonus pack. It’s one heck of a deal. And you won’t believe the little deals that come with Scott® 1000 bonus pack, like … #get100extra. That’s right! There are 100 extra sheets on each and every roll. That’s virtually free bath tissue. And it’s that free tissue that has us partnering with Scott® to share this awesome deal.
With three full bathrooms it’s a given we need a good supply of bath tissue on hand to always be guest-ready. Who am I kidding? We go through a lot of bath tissue and it’s not always out-of-town guests. It’s family, too. And I’m here to tell you that grandkids can really test a bathroom. Thanks to Scott® and Sam’s Club® we have plenty of bath tissue. Keeping with our goal of sustainable living, we thought it would be fun to recycle our empty bath tissue rolls. With a little bend here and another there, you can have DIY tiny gift boxes. They’re perfect any time of the year, especially for gift cards. With grown children, teen and pre-teen grandchildren, gift cards tend to be a hit.
- Empty bath tissue rolls
- Wrapping paper
- Ribbon and/or Baker’s String
Easy peasy! And I bet you already have all the supplies you need.
- Be sure to peel all the tissue residue from your empty rolls.
- Bend each end of your empty rolls as shown in the photo. Now unbend it. *wink* Bending the roll gives a point of reference to follow after the wrapping paper is on.
- Measure the wrapping paper just a wee smidgen wider than your empty roll and long enough to wrap around it.
- Attach the wrapping paper with tape.
- Bend your ends in and …
Voila! Tiny gift boxes that are sure to delight!
What’d I tell you? Easy peasy, tiny gift boxes that will save the planet and make someone’s day. Okay, so they probably won’t save the planet, but it’s a step in the right direction. And you’re sure to get some smiles. I think we’ve accomplished a lot here today. We’ve had some shopping fun at Sam’s Club®. We’re not about to run out of bath tissue, thanks to Scott® 1000 bonus pack. We earned $5.00 with the Ibotta App. And we got our creativity on. Whew! I’m ready for a tall glass of ice water.
