Its been a long time since I carved a real pumpkin, there are so many ways now. I have to keep the vine in mind.

Actually, that one is kinda an obscene phallic symbol. 😉

It’s rare to see a pumpkin with a stem in Singapore!

Hi, saw your link at Creat With joy and came over to participate. I must confess I never carved a real pumpkin – I have one pumpkin on my pantry right now, but I’m going to use it for making soup 🙂

Cool shot, as soon as the children break up from school this week, we will be going to fetch ours 🙂

I agree completely! The girls always laugh at me when I choose the pumpkins based on their stems!

Yay for Hallowe’en! I grew a pumpkin (only one. sigh) this year and was careful to cut it long enough to give me a great twisty stem 🙂
Tracy @ Ascending Butterfly says
That is aweomse! Most people overlook the stem and it adds so much character to the pumpkin as well as the final carved jack-o-lantern! (Visiting from the WW site, not sure why comment luv is not playing nice with my link, but my WW post is here: http://www.ascendingbutterfly.com/2015/10/photo-highlights-from-weddingsalon-new.html)
Cathy Kennedy says
Cathi, I had never thought about the stem before now. I just look for one that isn’t stubby. But, when we carve our jack-o-lantern, we normally do a happy face so a twisted stem would loss it’s scariness. lol Thanks for linking up with me today!
Rorybore says
so so true. I will not buy a pumpkin without its stem! nope. it can be the perfect shape, size and colour, but no stem – no buy! That’s a good stem too.
