Overlooking the Pacific Ocean are many cities and towns that dot the California coast. Cathi & I always enjoy the uniqueness of each of the various California beach communities we visit. It doesn’t matter if we’re driving or on foot, we always find interesting shops and places of interest to explore.
While in Carmel By The Sea we were introduced to the 5th Avenue Deli on the recommendation of Carrie, of the Hofsas House. So it seems the ‘Big Apple’ is not the only place to enjoy a full-on deli experience.
True to Carmel By The Sea charm, the 5th Avenue Deli storefront sign is small but to the point.
Great ambiance and a plethora a choices
Our 5th Avenue deli lunch was enjoyed while taking in the sights and sounds of point Lobos State Reserve.
Point Lobos State Reserve is a beautiful picnic spot.

What a beautiful place to check out. We are not going to be in that part of California this summer so I’ll have to make a second trip so that I can check out this place.
