There are many summer desserts that call for whipped cream and they make you wish you weren’t vegan your mouth water … even if you’re vegan. Well, this vegan doesn’t want to give up those summer delights!! So, after a lot of trial and error, we’ve mastered this heavenly recipe for vegan coconut whipped cream.
Vegan coconut whipped cream is easy to make and couldn’t be any quicker. The trick is remembering to put the can of coconut cream in the refrigerator to chill overnight. Me? I keep several cans in the fridge so I don’t have to remember. Ha!
Another tip to remember is putting your metal mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 15 – 30 minutes. Just like you’d do if you were whipping regular dairy cream.
Ingredients:
- 1 can coconut cream (that’s been unopened in the refrigerator overnight)
- Powdered sugar to taste up to 3/4 cup. (I don’t use more than 1/4 cup)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
- Refrigerate the can of coconut cream overnight.
- Place your metal mixing bowl and beater in the freezer for 15 minutes.
- Get your cold can of coconut cream out of the refrigerator. Open and dump into your ice cold freezing mixing bowl.
- Beat for a few minutes until still peaks form
- Add vanilla
- Add powdered sugar to taste.
- Beat another 20 – 30 seconds
That’s it! Easy peasy, right?
Now, serve with your favorite fresh fruit or even frost a delightful cupcake. But most of all …
Enjoy!

I’m not vegan but i often choose vegan recipes because they taste good and use REAL ingredients. I am definitely going to give this a try, whipped cream is the one thing I won’t buy (because of some of the ingredients) and this seems pretty easy to make.
