Agoura Hills Homewood Suites by Hilton was our home base during our recent Conejo Valley visit. Located just off the Ventura Freeway, it provides easy access to area attractions, restaurants and places of interest. The mountain view to the west of the hotel is postcard perfect, offering a glimpse of the beautiful scenery the valley is known for.
We stayed in a spacious two bedroom suite, complete with a king bed room, a two queen bed room, a living/sitting room, full kitchen, and two full bathrooms.
We were more than impressed with the ample outlets and ports for all our electronics. We had no need of the extension cords we always have packed away in our suitcases.
Both bathroom areas had ample lighting with amenities by Neutrogena.
Every room at Homewood Suites is just that: a suite! And every room has a full kitchen with dishwasher, dish soap, microwave, full refrigerator, dinner ware and flatware. You need it, it’s there! Homewood Suites has thought of everything.
Another great Homewood Suites’ feature is their complimentary hot breakfast.
Breakfast offerings include:
- Make-your-own waffles
- Scrambled eggs
- Sausage or bacon
- English muffins, bagels, and a variety of muffins
- Fresh fruit and fruit juice
- Assorted yogurt cups
- Hot and cold cereals
- Freshly-brewed coffee and assorted teas (available 24 hours)
- “Home-baked” biscuits
The Agoura Hills location is one of many Homewood Suites that hosts an evening social. It’s a social event where guests can enjoy beverages and “small plate” offerings as appetizers or a small, very satisfying evening meal. Evening social are hosted Monday through Thursday. The menu changes daily highlighting tastes from around the world. There’s also a salad bar in addition to the themed menu choices of the day.
Ample seating in the dining area is also available for gatherings during off dining times.
The front lobby is cozy and inviting. Staff members were courteous and attentive and always made us feel like welcomed guests.
A handy “Suite Shop” adjacent to the front desk offers a variety of items for purchase.
The grounds offer a park-like atmosphere with beautiful green spaces and manicured garden areas. And park benches to boot!
The garden sculptures at the entrance are quite interesting, fun and make for great photo ops. True to form, they carry out the nature theme of the Conejo Valley.
A Trader Joe’s located literally next-door was a pleasantly surprising perk!
Hilton Honors is a great program with special perks. It’s definitely worth checking out and joining.
David says: The location was central and freeway close. It was easy to get where we were going and back again. There’s no place like home, but feeling right at home is the next best thing. Homewood Suites made us feel right at home.
Cathi says: We love Homewood Suites! I suffer from MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and I’ve never had issues while staying in at a Hilton property. But the biggest perks for me at Homewood Suites is the in room kitchen and complimentary meals however, I was blown away with the delightful plant-based restaurants in Conejo Valley.

I’ve decided a two-bedroom suite is the only way to travel with the kids. I love that the adults can have their own space, and a kitchen for cooking in is icing on the cake! This looks perfect for our family.
