Easter is a special holiday at our house. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ by attending Church and afterwards returning home to a big ham dinner with family. It’s also a day to wear new Easter outfits. The beginning of spring and summer with bright happy colors. Over the years I’ve traditionally made new Easter outfits for the kids to wear.

Do you celebrate Easter? Do you celebrate a different holiday? How about new Easter/spring/summer clothes? Do you celebrate with new clothes?

I remember as a child getting all dressed up, going to church and the the traditional Easter ham dinner. This year we will be celebrating at my mil’s.

We celebrate Easter in a very traditional way…church (with new clothes), Easter baskets left by the Easter Bunny (even though our kids are teens/tween, the Easter Bunny still leaves them goodies) dinner with our families, and an Easter egg hunt.

We celebrate Easter the traditional way. And yes, we love wearing new clothes.

We always take time to get together with family over Easter. With a number of close family members passing away in the last year, it’s something that is even more important to us now. We are gearing up for winter here in Australia so new warm clothes will definitely be needed.

I love those past pictures! How cute!! We do the whole Easter Bunny thing with hidden eggs and Easter baskets…then I’ll make a yummy ham dinner for later. Usually we avoid going to church on holidays because that’s when everyone who doesn’t normally go to church does. 😉
Have a great weekend – and Happy Easter! 🙂

We celebrate Easter with the usual . . . dyeing and hiding Easter eggs. But no new clothes for them . . . unless it had to be reviewed.;-)

We used to get new church clothes growing up around Easter. My grandmother liked us all to match in a photo! 😉 Happy Easter!
