We’ve always enjoyed playing games together as a family. Growing up, the kids even planned and hosted their own game nights with their friends. Our home always seemed to be filled with kids, board games, food, and a whole lot of fun. That was then. It’s different now. Especially for our grandkids. As wonderful as technology is, it can also be distracting. I see youth (and adults) being drawn into video games. Quite often the downside is missing out on good, old-fashioned, interaction with others. Andromeda Fight League is here to change that.
Our 13-year old grandson, Cody, loves playing video and computer games. The games that have him planning and implementing strategies are by far his favorite. But to be perfectly honest, I worry that he spends way too much screen time playing. The fact is, there have been a few times when Cody has played for hours on end. Not at his house of course, but at ours. EGF! (Epic Grandparent Fail!) That’s why we’re over-the-top excited to partner with Noah, the creator of the Andromeda Fight League.
AFL (Andromeda Fight League) is a brand new and incredibly awesome board game. AFL is a two player game that’s full of fantasy, strategy, and epic battles. Everything a gamer could want! The game comes with the backstory in comic book form and tells of a war-torn universe. Cody is an avid reader and really enjoys the comic book. He’s read it several times over.
Players strategically place their Fighters on the ever-changing terrain boards to battle, all while trying to destroy their opponent’s Fighters. We loved playing AFL with both our grandsons. Each time we played, we learned more and developed our own unique game strategies. But most importantly, we played it together. We talked, laughed and had a good time interacting with each other.
One of the many awesome things about Andromeda Fight League is that it was designed and created by 16-year old Noah Massaro. Noah loves fantasy and gaming, and with his parent’s encouragement, he designed and created AFL. How cool is that? Besides the fact that AFL is an awesome game, Noah sets a great example for kids everywhere to follow their dreams and go for it!
He says: Never the same game twice, but always fun! Get ready to strategize!
She says: I love AFL! It’s fun and challenging and totally family friendly. I didn’t have to worry about game playing with inappropriate language, blood, and gore or scantily dressed characters.
Cody says: I like AFL a lot. It’s fun and I love the characters. I can’t wait for the expansion packs!
