When in the Pudong area of Shanghai, the Crowne Plaza, Pudong Shanghai is a great place to stay.
This majestic camel greets guests near the front entrance. Potted plants and shrubs adorn the exterior.
The lobby area is open and spacious and accented by a vast skylight. The revolving entry door is always enhanced by beautiful orchids or colorful floral arrangements. The front desk staff and concierge desk could not be more friendly and inviting and are available to assist with any need imaginable. Daily scheduled hotel transportation is provided to and from several areas of interest and for shopping.
The indoor water fountain is also a reflecting pool accented by cascading lights. There are ample sitting areas in the lobby highlighted by impressive wall murals.
The live orchids and various flower arrangements are stunning.
The lobby elevators are dramatically lit and various Chinese works of art are predominately displayed on each floor.
Each guest room is warm and welcoming with large windows and each room has a comfortable sitting area.
The beds are comfortable with multiple pillows and ample bed linen. Lighting controls for the entire room are conveniently located bedside. The provided slippers for each guest are nice to relax in.
The rooms are spacious with various lighting options. A desk area provides space for using a laptop with multiple electrical outlets for most every need. An ethernet cable is available for convenient internet access.
Beautiful marble accents the bath area. A glass enclosed shower stall is enhanced by an oversized shower head. A full sized bathtub is also included. All the amenities a traveler can imagine are provided. Additional items are available upon request.
Being one of the tallest structures in the vicinity, most rooms have spectacular views of the surrounding area, neighborhoods, and Free Trade Zone areas. Refrigerators are stocked with beverages and snacks for purchase, as well as a place to keeps items cold. There are many TV channels available, some in English and other langauges.
Hungry? The hotel restaurant has an excellent buffet with a huge variety of delectable dishes. Eggs to order for breakfast? You bet! Just let your imagination be your guide for any mealtime. Hotel management and staff are keen to be of service and could not be more attentive.
