There have been big changes developing at Disney California Adventure Park. The transformation has been in the process for at least four years. We’ve previewed plans and over time have watched construction from the front of the Blue Sky Cellar. Anticipation has been building and last weekend the construction walls came down. Now the world will be able to see the new Buena Vista Street and the much anticipated new Cars Land.
During the week prior to the Grand Re-Opening of Disney California Adventure Park, select annual pass holders were able to preview the magical changes. I joined my brother and sister along with several other family members for a preview. It was exciting to photograph so many of the changes.
A walk down the new Buena Vista Street is like stepping back in time.
As always the Disney attention to detail is incredible. Cast members dress as personalities of the period as well as familiar Disney characters. It’s as if you’ve been transported back to 1923 when Walt Disney first arrived in Los Angeles.
Tomorrow Cathi and I will be taking our granddaughter to ‘The Happiest Place on Earth’ where we’ll be meeting up with family again. With Kennedy we’ll be making more memories as we walk down Buena Vista Street together.
