It’s All About The Mouse! That is the theme for our #DisneySide Home Celebration party. After all … everything Disney did start with the Mouse! We wanted a simple party with a budget that most anyone could host in their own home. We also wanted a fun photo booth without the expense of a rental that came with a stranger telling us what we could and couldn’t do. So we made our own Mickey Mouse Photo Booth!
Supplies:
- 11 x 14 and/or 8 x 10 inch picture frames
- black paint
- paint brush
- black paper plates
- glue (we used a hot glue gun)
- inexpensive Photo Booth Props ($5 at Walmart. You can also make your own with construction paper and straws!)
I searched the house and found and old $5 frame that we purchased a while back at Walmart. We also already had paint brushes and black paint. Score!
We simply painted the frame with black paint. Both sides. Topside and backside. Then we hot glued large black paper plates on the top corners for Mickey ears.
Along with the 11 x 14 inch frame we found in the closet was a black mat to fit it. We use the mat for a smaller 8 x 10 inch version with smaller plates for ears. The same black plates we had purchased at Walmart to serve our party refreshments.
That’s it! Easy peasy and even if you need buy all the supplies you’re looking at less than ten dollars. It’s a bargain that kids will have fun with for years!
Our Mickey Mouse photo booth was easy to make and will bring endless #DisneySide fun!!

This is darling! Such a great idea. My niece held a Disney themed baby shower and I asked everybody to bring /wear their Mickey Ears if they had them. This would have been a great addition!

Hi Tricia! We had so much fun with the Mickey Mouse Photo Booth. The only thing I actually bought was the paper plates. I had everything else on hand. Easy peasy and inexpensive even if all the supplies need be purchased. Thanks so much for stopping by.

Thank you so very much Marysa! I think it’s time there was another grand-kid party at my house.
