Halloween will soon be upon us. We bought our first pumpkin yesterday and I have to say, it has the coolest, creepiest stem. I love it! I’m also beginning to think about this year’s Halloween treats. We created a variation of our Halloween Candy Pretzel Bark recipe a few seasons back and have re-tweaked it again this year.
This recipe is simple, but oh so good. It would be awesome with different colored/flavored chocolate melts too. (Think orange, yellow … or even good ol’ chocolate.) It would also be good with only pretzels, or with an addition of pecans. Your choice! That’s the wonderful thing about this recipe: you can customize it exactly as you like!
Ingredients:
1 cup Candy Corn (or similar type of candy of your choice)
1 1/2 cups broken pretzel pieces (3-4 cups before broken)
2 bags white chocolate candy melts
Directions:
- Place 2 bags chocolate candy melts in a double boiler and melt over a low heat to a smooth consistency. This can also be done in a microwave oven by following the directions on the product bag.
- Pour approximately 3-4 cups pretzels in a bowl.
- Break pretzels into small pieces but do not crush. You’ll need 1 1/2 cups broken pieces.
- Remove melted chocolate from stove/heat.
- Pour melted chocolate into a large bowl.
- Add 1 1/2 cups pretzel pieces.
- And 1 cup Candy Corn (or similar type of candy of your choice). Stir until blended.
- Pour the chocolate mixture onto parchment paper and spread out evenly. Let the candy bark set until totally firm.
9. Break the bark into pieces and serve as desired.
Enjoy!

I’ve never been in love with candy corn because it’s soooo very sweet, and I don’t like the texture. It seems like we get a ton of it at Halloween, and I hate for it to go to waste. This is the perfect solution! I bet the salty pretzels help to balance out that sweetness. Definitely trying your recipe!
