I am a list maker.
I always have been and I will continue to be until the day I have nothing to list. I have a long term To Do List and my Daily List. The Daily List started out as a simple errand list but I started adding my necessary phone calls and what I specifically wanted to accomplish during the day, thus… the Dated Daily List. Anything that doesn’t get completed stays on the list. The list is one letter size page with double columns. If the list gets too long for one page, nothing can be added until something is finished and removed making room for the new. As far as errands go… if NY and I don’t leave the house early enough in the morning we’ll be inundated with Temecula road rage traffic. Not my idea of fun so more often than not, if we’re running late, one of us will say, “let’s just go tomorrow” and tomorrow we try again.
This is my current Dated Daily List
Most often the Daily list will last 4-5 days while I’m adding and crossing things out and writing notes in the margin.
I loathe “going” shopping so I print out the description, item # and/or SKU and most importantly a picture of the item I want to buy and staple it to the list. This is tremendously helpful if I can’t find the item and need help from an employee. I simply show them the picture and they know exactly what I want. Okay, so I’m a bit neurotic. I’ll also admit that if a store I’m going to is in a mall, I’ll include specific location directions: 3 shops to the right of Macy’s on upper level. Now, if anyone makes fun of me, I’ll lie & say I never said any of this.

Without a list…. I am listless and my ADD rules!

Wow, you are really thorough! Pictures and eveything. I think that’s a great idea, but I can’t begin to imagine being so organized!
