NY and I are the Cub Scout leaders over the Wolf den through our church. This is something I’ve done many times over the years and am excited to be doing so again. Last week was our first meeting with the boys. We participated in a swimming activity with the entire pack and the Wolfs earned their Swimming belt loop and pin.
Yesterday we went on a field trip to the Archaeology & Paleontology Museum at the Domenigoni Valley Reservoir. All the artifacts, bones and fossils were found during the digging and excavating of the reservoir. It was so very interesting to me because archaeology was a career I thought I wanted to pursue when I was younger.
The tour started off with the digging of the reservoir.
Xena, the 12 foot Mammoth.
All the boys were able to make fossils from clay to take home.
I think all the Scouts had an enjoyable time and hopefully went home with a plethora of information. I know I did!

Cub Scouting was one of my favorite seasons of life with my boys.
Looks like a fun field trip and you and NY are perfect as the leaders!!!!!

I guess scouting isn’t as popular here since I don’t know anyone who participates. Looks like you all had a great time though!
