Living green isn’t always inexpensive. In fact it can be quite costly if you try to do it all at one time. We have found the easiest way to go green is one step at a time. It doesn’t break the bank but gives us the satisfaction of knowing we’re doing what we can to help the planet.
Using lunchskins is an easy way to be green. In just one year, lunchskins were able to keep more than 12 million plastic baggies from landfills. And it’s all because of customers like us that use lunchskins. The goal for 2011 is to keep 100 million plastic baggies out of landfills and waterways.
lunchskins are available in Snack Bags, Sandwich Bags and Sub Bags. They also have a variety of other green products.
We have the Sandwich Bag in the Brown Bud Logo Print. I chose brown because I thought NY would be using it more than anyone else. I should have known better. Our four year old grand daughter has used it the most. I think we’ll just have to get a pink one too!
There are literally dozens of colors and pattern combinations to choose from. Everyone in the family can pick their own set. We’ve used our lunchskins for sandwiches and also for gooey chocolate chip cookies. The bag is easy for our grand daughter to open and close which makes her (and us!) very happy.
The bags are not air tight though. This isn’t a problem if it’s in a lunch bag with other items. I only noticed the bread drying out when the bag was left on the kitchen counter for 6 or more hours.
