I’m over the top excited about what I found this week on Pinterest. We’ve begun a new chapter in our lives that will bring about many changes. This week I found answers, activities, pretty things and good food. All on Pinterest!
Enjoy!

My mother had Alzheimer’s. As she went through the different debilitating stages of the disease there was much confusion not only for mom but for our family as well. This short three-minute video is brilliant. It explains Alzheimer’s in a way that can be more easily understood.

I’m a big fan of coconut oil for many reasons. We use it mostly while cooking and baking, but I’m over the top excited about making this Coconut Oil Exfoliate. The benefits are exciting. And it’s virtually scent-free!

We’ve found when we have our grandchildren turn off all electronic devices (including the TV), our home becomes a place of magical and imaginative play. It. Is. Fabulous! Our two youngest grandchildren, who at times tend to disagree, get along as the best of friends. They can play together for hours on end when left to their imaginations. And that’s what Lisa’s 50 Fun Things For Kids To Do is all about. It’s a whole lot of family fun, too!

NY (aka David) has the greenest thumb ever. He nurtures and loves our house plants and gardens. In return they thrive beautifully. In particular we love orchids. Their simplicity is gorgeous. They can, however, be temperamental. When I found the How to Care for Orchids article on Pinterest, we found elusive answers.

I adore Palazzo Pants. It’s that simple.

I would move to this Dreamy French Countryside House in a heart beat. Tomorrow. Today! The inside is gorgeous, but I would spend my time wandering the grounds, feeding the wildlife and digging about in the soil. This is what dreams are made of!

Are you a Pinterest lookie-loo, or do you actually make the recipes you find? I’m here to tell you that Elle’s Crusty Parmesan Herb Zucchini Bites are absolutely delicious! We made them last week and loved them. This recipe is perfect for this (me) vegetarian!

I love to decorate our home for holidays. One of the simple things I do is frame colorful inspirational printables and place them throughout the house. I’m loving Dawn’s “Signs of Spring” Free Printables.

With the water shortage in California, we’ve been thinking about alternatives to our front lawn. I can’t tell you the last time the grandkids played on the grass or when we laid out front watching the clouds float by. Those are backyard activities. I’m seriously thinking of removing the front lawn and designing a large drought resistant garden. I was more than a little inspired with the Drive by Agave Garden that Denise found in Long Beach, California. I love it!!

Quite simply, the Spalding Gardening Calendar from Gareth Richards can be the best friend of anyone who loves to dig about in the dirt! Plain and simple, with a very few adaptions to your area. *wink*
