As the weather continues to cool the excitement for the upcoming holidays continues to grow. Halloween is in full swing at our house with decorations and baking. The costumes are coming together with only a few adjustments waiting to be made. It’s time for sweaters, pumpkins, ghosts and hearty soup. And this week on Pinterest is where I got my inspiration!

I have a passion for doors. Old rustic doors, shiny new doors and right now, this lovely festive door from Thistlewood Farms. Budget Fall Decorating Ideas for Front Doors is perfect for September through Thanksgiving. Actually … I honestly love this decor year round! But don’t just look at the photo. Be sure to read KariAnne’s post on the step by step instructions to make sure your front door welcomes everyone when they come for a visit.

I’m more than a little in love with this versatile autumn outfit. And I think the Infinity Scarf from Elfsacks bring it all together. The accessories can make the jeans and sweater casual or dressy and the scarf will always keep me warm.

Imagine sitting in front of a warm crackling fire, looking out the window as the beautiful colors of autumn falling from the trees all while savoring a delicious bowl of Creamy Pumpkin Soup. Oh my goodness! I can’t wait to make this recipe from Georgia at The Comfort of Cooking. Fact of the matter is … Georgia’s gorgeous blog is my new ‘go to’ place for anything and everything delectable!

Do you have a gorgeous artificial Christmas tree that you put up every year? Have you thought about making it a Halloween Tree? Every year we add a few strings of orange lights, some black, orange and purple ribbons streamers and our favorite Halloween ornaments. Simply let your imagination go spooky with black tulle, black artificial flowers … anything you can think of to carry the theme through the haunted holiday and voila … Halloween tree!

I’ve been a fan of Craftionary for quite a while. I’m a subscriber and I’m always excited to see what delightful tutorials and round-ups Hani has created. She’s talented and inspirational. I’m loving the 15 DIY Ghost Tutorials she posted this week. Adorable, spooky and some are easy enough to pull off at the last minute. In fact, when I pick up my grandkids from school today we’re going to give the darling mason jar ghosts a go.
So … did you make/create anything you found on Pinterest this week? Are you as excited about Halloween as we are?
