I like to think our home and way of living are in harmony with nature and the environment. We love the great outdoors and bring it into our home as much as possible. We like to use products that are natural and/or organic. And we recycle and upcycle whenever possible. We also love to support our community. For all these reasons we love Uncommon Goods. It’s a company that believes as we do when it comes to the environment and our fellowmen. We like being unique with Uncommon Goods.
Headquartered in the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal in Brooklyn, New York, Uncommon Goods has been around since 1999. They feature unique designs and handcrafted gifts, most of which are created by artists and designers in the USA. About one-third of their products incorporate recycled and/or upcycled materials. That alone gets a big woo hoo from me!
When it comes to style, David is modern-contemporary. Me? I’m country distressed. That makes our mixed styles very eclectic. And that makes Uncommon Goods a perfect fit for our home.
I’m absolutely in love with rustic Yosemite Coat Rack. We vacationed in Yosemite every summer while the kids were growing up. We’ve even been there with the grandkids, so it’s easy to say Yosemite has a special place in our hearts.
Our wedding day was the beginning of the rest of our lives. Sappy? Maybe. But it’s true. That may be why I want one of Alexander Doll’s Beach Wedding Personalized Art works on our wall. Besides it being created just for us, the vintage look fits our styles.
We have a lovely covered patio that I’ve always wanted to hang a hammock on. I imagine myself slightly swinging in a warm California breeze while listening to a great variety of birds. Now, I don’t say that in jest. We have a plethora of birds that feast on the bird feeders in our garden area. We always have fresh water in the bird baths, so they have good reason to visit. But back to the hammock. I have my heart set on this Do Good Hanging Chair. No doubt you may want one too, after watching the sweet video.
So, what are your thoughts on Uncommon Goods? We’ve shopped with them for going on five years now. Five good years! We love their story and how harmonious they are with the planet. They also conduct studio tours, which is on my bucket list when next in New York. We believe in Uncommon Goods, and that’s why we’re happy to partner with them on this post. In closing, let’s share their Namaste Pillow and bow our heads in friendship!

I hadn’t heard of this store before. I totally love that coat rack, I’ve never seen one that looks like a tree before.
