We never prune our grapevines. We should but we simply forget to do it when the time is right. After they’re covered with leaves and teeny little grapes, we just don’t have the heart to start chopping away at them. So, our grapevines grow up and throughout the plum and orange trees. So high up that we can pick grapes out our upstairs bedroom window.

Thank you so much Joyce. The grapevines are wonderful. Between the hummingbirds and grandkids we don’t have enough for jam/jelly but there’s always a bounty for fresh eating.
Deborah / Mom2Michael says
Are these eating grapes or wine grapes? I’d love to have grapes I could snack on π
Cathi says
I’m not sure what they technically are Deborah but we (along with the birds) eat them right off the vine. Perfect on a warm summer day. π
Patrick Weseman says
That would be so cool.
Cathi says

Fabulous star burst effect! Did you use a filter to capture this? I would love to add a star filter to my camera accessories. Nice job!
Cathi says
Hi Cathy! I didn’t use a starburst effect/filter. I achieved the effect by moving the camera around while taking the photo. π I’m curious about that filter now and am going to research it. Thanks so much for the head’s up!!
Karren Haller says
You must have great soils for your grapes, were trying to grow 2 in large containers, and after 2 years they have” some grapes”
Cathi says
Our vine is 15 years old Karren. We had three but a few years back two died. I’m determined to replace them before next year! π
