We were recently invited for a complimentary day of fun at the Knotts Soak City Water Park ‘Beach Bash.’ It was an opportunity to experience the exciting new water slides, feast at the remodeled Longboard Grill, and enjoy the lush new landscaping. We enjoyed the festivities with our two youngest grandchildren. And oh boy, did we have a wet and wild time! Knott’s really knows how to throw a party!
With temperatures rising, Knott’s Soak City, Orange County’s largest water park, is the place to beat the heat. The new 2-acre expansion will have you soaring and splashing from new heights. And the new landscaping provides a feeling of being in a tropical oasis.
Knott’s Soak City is located just across from the main Knott’s Berry Farm entrance, near Independence Hall. Both parks share the same main parking lot. Be sure to bring your own towels and plenty of sunscreen.
Davy Jones Lockers is located to the left just inside Soak City’s entrance gate. Lockers there are available to rent for the day to store your valuables.
It’s great when a community comes together. That’s exactly what Buena Park did for the grand opening of Soak City’s expansion. Knott’s general manager, Jon Storbeck, Buena Park Mayor Beth Swift, and of course Snoopy, were on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to introduce the exciting new slides and park enhancements. The two new slide towers feature a total of seven (yes seven!) new thrilling slides. This includes an exhilarating Aqua Launch Chamber.
Shore Break is over seven stories high and offers six different thrilling water slide experiences. Four of the slides will have guests climbing into an Aqua Launch chamber where the floor drops out sending riders on a vertical free fall through a series loops and curves. Our 13 and 11 year-old grandkids, Cody and Kennedy, loved it! They couldn’t get enough of Shore Break!
The kids loved the cheeseburgers they ordered. And which, as you can see, are huge! And huge fries to match! Other choices available include hot dogs, fish and chips, and chicken strips.

Gremmie Lagoon is where hot little tots cool off. With slides, water spouts and so much more, it’s where kiddos will have the best time ever!
While Kennedy is a thrill seeker, Cody’s was happiest in the Lazy River. He loved floating along the tropical shore meeting new friends (which he does everywhere *wink) and enjoying the sunshine. The safety of park guests is of the utmost importance to Knott’s Soak City. There are lifeguards stationed everywhere. They’re constantly on the move, watching and vigilant about all that’s happening. Once again, cheers Knott’s Soak City!
The longtime favorite water slides of Soak City are of course still waiting for you to have the best, coolest and most exciting summertime ever. Arrive early, relax and enjoy the sun, fun, food, and shopping at Knott’s Soak City Water Park!
David says: I’m impressed with the amount of life guards and how diligent they are watching everyone. I also was impressed that they had vegetarian and vegan food options. That’s always a plus for our family.
Cathi says: Don’t forget your towel and sunscreen and be ready for fun! The water feels SO good on a hot day. Be ready for tuckered out kids at the end of the day from all the excitement!
Cody says: It’s going to be a wet day!!
Kennedy says: The Aqua Launch Chamber is the absolute Best!
