It seems like it was just yesterday that we were all worried about Y2K and if the world would end when all the computers crashed. None of the computers crashed and of course the world didn’t end.
We started a new century then and now, as we start another New Year…
Do you set New Year goals?

Of course I do, ones that I know i can obtain! Not those I will lose weight quit smoking etc goals. but realistic ones!
blueviolet says
Normally, no but I did set some guidelines for myself this year. I tried to make them general enough so that I was setting myself up for failure.
janetfaye says
This year I will be setting weekly goals. I thought I would try something different.
Amy-Happy Momma says
Every year I take a look back on last year and myself how I would like to improve for myself and as an example for my children and then I begin working on these things with renewed focus. I do not really see it as setting goals since this is not the only time of the year I do this. Awareness and Progression are always a part of my life.
Em Dy says
I do and just posted them in my blog!
Cat@3KidsandUs says
Only ones I can accomplish. LOL
Dee says
nope!
TheAngelForever says
You know I have ideas in my head and to be honest so long as my family is happy and healthy that is a good goal. My hubby actually just did a post on his blog about anti-resolutions. I thought it was a brilliant idea!
Nina says
Yes…. I set 4 goals for myself this year. They are listed on my post right below today’s Aloha Friday Post. I am not always good at keep my goals but this year I have my heart set on reaching certain ones. To sum them up….
1. Tone up, 2. Be more Frugal, 3. Recyle more, 4. Read my bible daily.
Just Jenn says
nope I dont usually follow them so I stopped
Meredith says
I have never really made New Year’s resolutions. I think there is too much pressure, and you are setting yourself up for failure.
I did resolve about a month ago to become a better homemaker. I do work and go to school, but at home I put things off like it’s no body’s business. I need to stop being such a lazy dishwasher/cloths cleaner/vacuumer/etc.

I think it’s hard not to set any goals but I try not to stress out over them – a year is a long time and I’m sure we’ll accomplish many unplanned things along the way anyway! 🙂
Jennielee says
I try to keep my new years goals simple. This year I want to get my house organized That might have been my goal for last year to. I can’t really remember but either way it didn’t happen.
Heart of Rachel says
I remember the height of the Y2K concern.
I don’t really make New Year goals anymore. I just try to do my best each year.
Tara says
Yep normally has to do with losing weight and exercising lol
Renee says
nah, it’s just a coincidence that my trying to loose holiday pounds falls right around the new year. 😉
Tim and Vicky says
Yep. Way too many! lol If I set 10, maybe I will accomplish one or two. 🙂
Vicki says
I usually don’t, but this year I’ve made up my mind ~ again 🙁 ~ to get fit and healthy. This time I’ll do it because I have medical problems that need to be corrected.
Jenni Jiggety says
I did! Nothing too dramatic…but I do have some overall self bettering I’d like to do…
kailani says
Not usually. Whenever I do, I forget what they were within a month.

True resolutions NO, but goals yes. There is always something to accomplish!
Jennifer says
This was the first time for me to set a resolution. It is to learn to love my myself the way I am.
Pegsy says
Not really… I do take some time to reflect on the year past and how I would like the new year to be different. I don’t think I’ve ever written anything down, but I’m thinking about it this year.
caseydeuce says
I’m gonna cut back on junk food, hopefully… I’d like to ultimately lose 3-4 pounds a month to make a 40 pound weight loss for 2009!
Heatherlyn Colt says
yes. i posted them on my blog. Setting a goal, I either accomplish it or eventually realize that it isn’t very important to me.
Sher :) says
Ya know, I don’t. It seems like when I do, I never reach them and just get disappointed with myself. 🙂
