From Kailani at An Island Life: In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays let’s take it easy on posting, too. Ask a simple question…nothing that requires a lengthy response. It’s a great way to make new blogging friends!
Last night was Science Night at our grandson’s school. I’m sure it was to spark interest in the annual Science Fair and it did indeed with our 7-year old grandson. Now…while I did have a good time sharing the fun with Bear I have to admit…I loathe science projects. Don’t get me wrong, I love the actual experiments…I just didn’t like the stress our family went through while completing the projects.
How about you? Do you enjoy science projects at your house?

We haven’t really gotten there yet, but now that we’re homeschooling, I’m excited to do projects!! I always loved them…

The few science projects Princess Nagger has done (not assignments from school yet, but science kits she’s shown interest in and I’ve gotten for her) have been a lot of fun. I’ve been enjoying seeing her wonderment and excitement on the end result. 🙂

Oh I remember doing…or that’s right Helping, lol, the child with science projects. What do some of these teachers think. Or maybe it the school. We do not remember doing these type of things at home at all in our school years. I really did not enjoy the project, due to the fact that we the parents had to do most of it. For the child was just not able to.
Glad to see the evening went well. And I am sure your Grandson has proud.
…..Science projects are homework for the parents…..Keeping our minds working..:-)Happy Friday.

I barely remember when I had to do science projects, and my kids are still a bit to young, but I do love hands on activities. I love the photo you posted yesterday! Please feel free to come by and answer my Aloha Friday Question.

NOT a fan of Science Fair Projects, Boards, etc. So much stress and competition. We are in the thick of it right now.

We haven’t had any Science projects as yet. I know they are coming and I’m afraid of it’s coming.
But I think I’ll just embrace it and learn along with my kids.
I just don’t want to mess up helping them.

Well, my little one is 2, so if we do any, they are super simply.

We have four kids (10, 12, 14, 17) so we have had our fair share of science projects through the years. I can honestly say I loathe science projects! We always tried really hard to let our kids do the work. There were always those students whose projects were so elaborate you just knew the parents did most of it.

My daughter is not old enough yet… BUT my hubby already bought this cool kids book called We Dare You – it’s science projects to do at home : )
So I am sure we will be enjoying them soon enough!

As a child I loved science projects. My mother was a biology major and used to have fun coming up with things to do. As a teacher, I loved seeing the projects that came in, but hated the hours of grading them with rubrics. NHL is almost at the age that he will have one, so the parent project will be coming soon.

I can’t remember ever having to do a science project when I was at school?
