Did you read about the Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum Soiree I was lucky enough to attend? It’s right below this post. I forgot to mention that the bride and groom were whisked away in Cinderella’s glass carriage pulled by glorious white horses. And they didn’t get away until the sky was filled with fireworks and the special couple and guests were sprinkled with confetti streamers shot from little cannons. These are the things fairy tales are made of. The magic didn’t stop there though. Debra (A Frugal Friend) and I took a short walk to the Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa beach where we, along with our families, were treated to a delightful dinner complete with entertainment, carnival games for the kids and special appearances by Disney characters!
Disney, in conjuction with the wonderful ladies of #DisneySMMoms, truly know how to throw a party! Everything was perfect from the beautiful table settings to the floral arrangements and of course the spectacular views.
The serving tables of delicious food were quite inviting. There were even tables especially for the little ones in attendance. They were filled with hamburger sliders, grilled cheese sandwhiches and other good foods children like. Everything was simply served to perfection!
Debra’s (A Frugal Friend) daughter was over the top excited when she saw Minnie and Mickey. We had so much fun with this sweet little girl. She reminded us so much of our grandchildren back home.
One of the fabulous things about Florida is the “Good Skies.” It’s a term we used almost daily during the two years we were Florida residents. The Grand Floridian and Wedding Pavilion were lovely sights to see during the setting of the sun.
There was even a sand sculptor creating the logo on the beach for our Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. I couldn’t help thinking that if my kids (when they were young) or my grandchildren were there … the sculpture might have been toast! This event was the first of several family gatherings and it set the bar quite high.
I paid a modest fee to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Conference. The modest fee included a room at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Park Hopper tickets and extraordinary events and family dinner parties. There was no requirement to blog about the conference or the events. All the excitement and opinions are 100% mine!

That was a lovely night, wasn’t it? My girls tasted cotton candy for the 1st time (not sure if that’s a good or bad thing). 😉
