Technically speaking this moon in the Waxing Gibbous lunar phase.
As seen, it’s commonly referred to as a half moon.
This photo was taken on a very recent summer evening, about 5:30pm, and long before sunset.
Technicalities aside, it does beg the question: Where’s the other half?!
