Sporty’s Baseball is a delightful teaching tool for children
(both young and young at heart) to learn the game of baseball.
The Sportys kids are average everyday kids. Kids that you see on the school playground or at the neighborhood park. Pictured on the DVD to the left, you can see “Rusty”, the tall girl, who is strong, tough, intelligent and sassy. And “Nails”, the big guy, who’s over sized, hulking and full of natural power. They play ball along with “Scooter” a pint-sized energetic girl. No one is left out regardless of their ability or physical appearance and I like that!
*Academy Award nominee Michael Clarke Duncan (The Green Mile, Kung Fu Panda) stars as the supportive voice of “Stitch” the baseball, who leads a diverse and relatable group of characters, along with viewers at home, through the basics of the sport in a way that is so entertaining, kids won’t even know they’re learning.
Also included on the DVD is a segment called Coach at Home. This is for parents, grandparents and anyone else who has a desire to teach little ones to play the sport of baseball. Major league hitting coach Kevin Long shows us how to teach the fundamentals of the game in a fun and entertaining way that will keep kids interested.
“Stitch” the baseball, floats around patiently coaching the team on playing the game and he shows them the importance of sportsmanship too. This makes Sportys Baseball an excellent and entertaining approach to teaching by example.
I simply love the DVD and so did my grandchildren. Even my 3-year old grand daughter was asking to watch the “baseball” movie.
In my opinion, you simply can’t go wrong with Sportys Baseball.
It’s entertaining and educational.
