Our home is always filled with music. We listen to a variety of genres including children’s music when our grandchildren visit. We have a little boom box that they take in the backyard where they sing and dance about under the sun. Our 4-year old grand daughter’s new favorite song is Monkey Monkey Music’s “What Are The Odds” with Meredith LeVande. She calls it the counting song. My favorite is “In The Garden”. It’s a lovely song that teaches children about fruit and vegetables growing in our own backyard gardens.
From the website: Monkey Monkey Music is a children’s music program developed by Meredith LeVande, an educator and songwriter who has close to a decade of experience working with preschool aged children. Monkey Monkey Music is a continuously evolving project that’s committed to conscious and quality based music and media which puts the best interests of children first. Learning and music is a fun, joyous, experience for children, which is why Meredith’s collection of songs and live performances continuously engage both children and adults for years on end.
Monkey Monkey Music is fun and educational with a beat that gets everyone up singing and dancing. Children love music and it didn’t take long for my grand daughter to sing along with Meredith.
It doesn’t matter if you’re young in years or just in your heart, Monkey Monkey Music brings out the monkey in all of us.
