Tuesday was NY’s first day back flying in almost three years. He’s a crew member for a major airline and his flight was to NYC (hence his nickname NY). He was on a ‘sleep-over’, as my 6-year old grandson put it! It was the first time we’ve really been apart since he was injured in a terrorist bombing in Madrid, Spain in December 2006.
I thought I slept quite well for being alone. NY arrived home this morning about 1am. After breakfast today I decided to lay back down for a bit and didn’t wake up until 6pm! On the average I get by with 6-7 hours of sleep. I have no idea why I am so exhausted today.
How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
TheAngelForever says
Most nights I get 5-6 hours of sleep. So glad that NY is home and got back to flying again. Off to read the story behind things. For some reason I never read that before.

I get about 6 hours during the night, and then my six-month-old wakes up for an hour around 6:30 or 7am. We both go back to sleep for another 2 hours after that!

I guess it depends. Some nights I get 8 hours, sometimes a lot less. I tend to wake up a lot during the night and never feel rested no matter how many hours I get.
