Exciting things are taking place at the Disneyland Resort! Tomorrow is the first day that the new Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure will be open to the public!
This week Disneyland Resort annual pass holders were able to ride The Little Mermaid. We took advantage of this opportunity twice.
The wait time was about 45 minutes however the line moved steadily.
Walking through the wait queue is actually quite extraordinary. One of my favorite things about Disney is their attention to detail.
The outside and inside of The Little Mermaid building is gorgeous! We truly felt as if we were at the beach. The plants in the gardens around the attractions all resemble underwater plants.
The walkways are embedded with sea shells to look like the sand on a beach.
Everything from the ceilings to the tile work …
to the exquisite sculptures …
to the lighting is breathtaking!
Even the hand rails carry out the under the sea theme.
The Little Mermaid attraction is full of bright colors and familiar music. We boarded our own personal shell and sat back to watch the story unfold before us.
We can’t wait to take our grandchildren on The Little Mermaid. They’re going to love it as much as we do!
This is not a compensated or sponsored post. We simply enjoy sharing our love for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.

Oh Cathi, I am in love with this ride and I have not even seen it in person. Can not wait to get to Disneyland one day and see all that has changed since my trip in the late 80’s.

I know my little girls would absolutely love it. Is it scary at all?
