One of my favorite things about the holidays is the Christmas cards that arrive in the mail. I get excited each day as I make the short trek to the mailbox. Will there be photos and a holiday letter enclosed?
With fast paced lives and growing and expanding families and friends it can be difficult to stay current. With increasing regularity there seems to be a graduation announcement here … a wedding or new baby announcement there. So I find the holidays to be the perfect time to catch up on the year gone by with friends and family through cards and photos.
Tiny Prints has a brilliant selection of Holiday Cards. Christmas is the holiday we celebrate but there are also cards for other religious holidays and special observances. Over the years I have found my taste to be quite eclectic. This year I’m finding myself drawn to Christmas cards with a vintage theme. Tiny Prints allows personalization, which is important to us. We choose to have our cards have “Merry Christmas” as the greeting. You can choose or any special greeting you’d like. That’s the glory of personalization.
The Tabbed Grid photo Christmas card is a favorite because there is space for five different photos on the front. I also love the two toned gray striped back. Very elegant! I would personalize the card to say “Merry Christmas”.
There’s so much that can be done with the Banner of Dreams retro/vintage card. The photo choice can totally change the card. And the simple stripes on the back make a statement too.
I adore the Shimmering Star Christmas card. It’s simple, elegant and bold … all at the same time. It might be the phrase “sing praise to His name” or “the Lord is come.” It could be the brilliant star. Perhaps it’s simply the boldness of the black and white. But I think its a combination of all those things that makes Shimmering Star my all time favorite! My goal is to send out my Christmas cards by the first day of December. I’ll enclose a newsletter so all our friends and family know what’s happening with us, our children and grandchildren. I’ll anxiously go to the mailbox everyday in anticipation of holiday cards that may be waiting for me. And I’ll revel a bit in good old fashion greeting cards.
