The holidays are officially here and everything is looking festive at our house. We’re prepping for Thanksgiving dinner while decorating for Christmas. That’s how we roll this time of year and it makes me happy!
Not only do I want the house looking festive but I want it smelling festive too! So today we’re sharing our Holiday Simmer Pot Gift Jar. It’s the perfect welcome scent for holiday guests but it also makes a lovely gift.
And most importantly… the recipe is all organic and natural so it’s perfect for my MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity).

I love simmering scents on my stove. This is a perfect gift idea for the holidays – giving someone something to make their home smell lovely that isn’t a candle. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us!

A neighbor once gifted our family something like this and it was the best neighbor gift we ever received. I had never heard of a simmer pot before! I’ve thought about it for the last 3 years because it was a gift that really stood out among the other neighbor gifts (hot chocolate, popcorn, apple cider, etc). This year I’m planning to gift this for our neighbors, along with some store owners in our small community, and the teachers and staff at my child’s school! I really appreciate this recipe especially because you show us how to dry out the fruit. Many other recipes online just tell you to add an entire, unpeeled orange and fresh cranberries. This recipe looks like somebody put the time into it – not to mention the dried fruit is so beautiful in the jar! Thank you so much!
