I wasn’t crazy about walking the bridge because I didn’t think the railings were child proof. It would’ve been easy for The Princess to slip through the vertical rails and I could imagine all three of the babies sliding under the bottom horizontal rail. I know, I’m an overly concerned grandma.
I thought it looked very art deco.
Even ladybugs walk the bridge.
After visiting the bridge we drove along the water to Monkey Boy’s choice of “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not”, but again, there were so many cars and people we weren’t able to find a place to park. We decided to do Ripley’s when we do Alcatraz Island on another day.
One of the many things I love about traveling is learning about other local customs and seeing different styles of architecture.
I don’t understand how the people who live on Lombard Street are ever able to get in or out of their driveways. There’s a constant, steady stream of cars driving down. It is fun to drive down the most ‘crooked street in the world.’ I told A that several movies with car chases have been filmed in San Francisco because of the steep hills and steets.
