Traveling is something we enjoy doing. Long trips or short. By land or by sea. By trains, planes, or taxi cabs. Even Uber. And of course road trips. We learn as much as we can about cultures and the history of wherever we might be. Through all our travels we’ve learned to pack light and wear comfortable versatile clothes. It simply makes traveling easier and more convenient. Simple sojourns! And that’s why we (especially ME!) are happy to partner with Cindy Karen and her Cape Town Slacks on the Go.
Traveling with clothes that can be worn in a variety of ways is the way to go. Especially with clothes that can quick-change from casual to dressy without much effort. I also want my travel clothes to be comfortable and practical. That’s exactly what the Cape Town Slacks on the Go are. I’ve tried many different travel styles and these pants are far and away my favorite. The quality is excellent and I love how versatile they are. I have a black pair, but they’re also available in navy, olive, brown and white. With that many colors Cape Towns are THE only pants you need when traveling.
You can easily dress them up or down by a simple change of your top and/or shoes. The fit is relaxed and super comfortable. I wore them on a flight from Los Angeles (temps in the 80s) to Oregon (temps in the 30s) with my easy slip-on (airport security check!) boots.
Then a quick trip to the local market with light-weight sneakers before changing into a dressy blouse with heels for dinner out on the town.
I’m a seamstress and I’m over the top impressed with how well the Cape Town slacks are made. They have lapped type seams which is very strong and makes the seams virtually invisible. All without any bulk.
And …
- They have a comfortable elastic draw string waist.
- They run large so you might want to size down.
- They are 92% Polyester, 8% Spandex.
- Machine wash gentle, lay flat to dry. I hung mine on a skirt/pants hanger to dry.
- They’re made in the USA
I absolutely love the elastic legs on the Cape Town Slacks. I didn’t have to tailor/alter/hem the pants to fit my petite stature. That’s a rarity for me.
I’m five foot even and wear an extra small or small. Compare the photo of the model wearing the Cape Town Slacks on Cindy Karen’s website who is probably 7 or 8 inches taller than I. She’s probably also wearing an extra-small size. The Cape Town Slacks are shorter on her to give you an idea of where they may fit on you or someone on your gift list. The Cape Town Slacks will make a great gift for any traveler on your list!
Cindy Karen clothes are for the jet setter in all of us, as well as for everyday wear. You’ll find comfortable, stylish dresses, jackets, tops, pants, skirts and accessories that travel perfectly in your suitcase. The website also gives back to the environment with all profits from their “Sea Change” candle going directly to water.org. How cool is that? I love companies that give back!
