We love to travel. So I’m always looking for the perfect lightweight but warm wrap to wear. Whether in the car, the airport terminal, or especially on the plane, I want something that is uber comfortable and warm. But I also want something lightweight and compact enough to carry in my handbag. That’s why I’m excited about our partnership with Mer-Sea & Co., and being able to share the virtues of The Chelsea Kimono.
I love clothes that can be worn in a variety of ways. Clothes that can ‘quick change’ from casual to dressy without much effort at all. I also want my clothes to be comfortable and practical. I’m not necessarily into expensive brand labels. Especially when I can find high quality fashion pieces that fit my style and aren’t overly priced.
What do I look for? Clothing that’s perfectly suited to wear when I’m meeting friends for lunch, or when I’m off on a high flying adventure boarding a plane with David. Or even when I’m wearing my Sunday best for church. I want my clothes to be practically perfect in every way!
While I may be a jeans and sweater kind of girl, I do love fashion. A lot. And right now, I’m here to tell you how much I love Mer-Sea!
The Chelsea Kimono from Mer-Sea is exactly my style. I can wear it dressed down or dressed up. What I love most about this piece is that it’s beautiful, comfortable and warm. The Chelsea Kimono is lightweight enough to comfortably wear indoors, but also warm enough for outdoors. And that’s important to me.
The Chelsea Kimono is a super-soft cotton cashmere knit which makes it perfect for travel. We recently flew to Oregon to visit friends. It was in the high 80s when we flew out of Los Angeles, but the low 60s when we landed in Oregon. The Chelsea Kimono was perfect for the trip. Do you get cold when flying? I usually always do! I was able to carry it in my handbag so it was handy when I got cold on the plane. And I also wore it in the cooler Oregon weather.
The Chelsea Kimono drapes beautifully in the back. And because of its style, it goes well over lightweight blouses or bulky knits. One-size fits-all makes it easy to gift to whomever might be on you holiday gift list.
The Kimono is 90% cotton and 10% cashmere. Did I mention cashmere is a weakness of mine? Oh! And it’s just a tad over 30 inches long. Now, I’m only five feet tall (flat out with no inches). And I wear an extra small or small. So, go check out the Mer-Sea website because I’m wagering the model wearing the kimono is at least 7 or 8 inches taller than I am. At least! That should give you an idea of how the kimono will fit you or someone on you gift list.
It’s best to hand wash your Chelsea Kimono, then lay it flat to dry. And you know what? It drys quickly which is another reason it’s perfect for travel.
So, what do you think? No doubt this Chelsea Kimono will fit your fashion style, too. And maybe there’s even a special someone in your life that would love it too!
