One thing I’ve learned about cooking and baking vegan is there are a lot of spices and herbs involved. A whole lot and I love it! We like knowing exactly what’s in our spice and herb blends so we’ve been mixing up our own. This easy to make curry spice blend recipe can be made with or without the cardamon, cinnamon, and cayenne. It just depends on what your taste buds are craving.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cumin
- 2 tablespoons coriander
- 2 tablespoons turmeric
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cardamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cayenne
Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together and store in an air tight jar. You can add more of ‘this’ and less of ‘that’ adjusting the recipe to your taste.
That’s it! Now you’re ready to get your curry on!

I love that. I’d much rather make my own spice mixture than buy it at the store. They’re usually full of too much salt when you buy them.

That sounds awesome! I love curry, but I hate getting it at the store. There’s always too much salt, and I try to limit my salt intake.

My husband and I both love curry, but I’ll admit I rarely make it at home. This homemade curry spice is encouraging me to give it a try!
