I picked up $30 worth of Halloween Candy today. Only two bags. Two bags! $15 a bag! I can’t believe candy is that expensive. The sad thing is … without a doubt … it will all be gone before Halloween. I will be buying more.
The grands are having a sleep-over tonight so all the candy might even get eaten up before the weekend is over. Hey! I’m the grandma!!
What about you? Do you buy Halloween candy? Any special kind? Where do you find the best deals on Halloween candy?

I love your candy bowl. I buy candy twice every year, because we always eat it all days before Halloween. I usually buy a big bag of mixed candy and 2 bags of chocolate.

OH my gosh that is horrible to pay that much! We don’t get any trick or treat-ers where we live so I forgo buying candy.

The key is not to open until about 5 minutes before trick or treat time starts! Last year I bought a bunch of candy and we got 2 trick or treaters. This year, I’m not even gonna bother.

I cannot have Halloween candy in my house for that very reason! I always eat it before Halloween, then I end up spending another gazillion dollars for more! Sorry for the trick-or-treaters! 😉

That’s a really cute candy bowl.. no I don’t buy any candy as we don’t go trick or treating and it’s not really celebrated here in Singapore.

i love the bowl! too cute!
I don’t buy candy because we are normally out with our kids, but if the bags go on sale ( i coupon) I will probably stock up and put some goodie bags out.

That bowl is too cute! I don’t usually buy Halloween candy beforehand. (We live in an area that gets no trick-or-treaters.) With 4 kids though, we will have more than enough after Halloween night.

That’s the joy of having little kids. We don’t HAVE to buy candy, because we’ll be gone all night. lol But, knowing my husband, he’ll come home with a bag or two. He he.

We have a lot of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood so I usually buy quite a lot of candy (which we enjoy snacking on, too). I mostly buy the small candy bars – Snickers, Reese’s, etc.

Yes, we buy candy and typically try to get something that we do not love all of it. We do not open it until the night and then freeze anything left over. Most years we hardly have anyone come, so we always over buy.
JamericanSpice says
I haven’t bought any as yet. I am thinking I wont buy any this year but let the kids go collect instead.
Every year I buy and we pass out candy.
We’ll see

I will buy a variety of candy all through the month and then what nobody likes I’ll give away.
Have a great Friday!

I buy the HUGE mixed bags at Costco!!

It’s ridiculous to have to pay that much!!
We live out in the boondocks so the only kids knocking on our door yelling “Trick or Treat” is our grandkids.

That is the cutest candy bowl ever! And like you, if I were to buy Halloween candy this early, it’d be gone long before Halloween. Seems the price really has gone up, hasn’t it? Even though we don’t get trick-or-treaters here (we live on a busy/dangerous road no sane kid would trick-or-treat on – not even our kidlets, which is why we go to a local neighborhood for the loot) I still buy Halloween candy – hubby is a chocaholic, so as long as there’s plenty of chocolate, he’s a happy camper. 🙂

I always buy the chocolate mix from Sam’s or Costco’s. I always eat some of it too, and then have to buy more.
