When our children were growing up we always had a few cats and dogs as pets. We also had chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits, snakes, birds, mice, rats, lizards, and larger animals such as cows and pigs. They were all pets, although at times the cows and pigs made their way to our dinner table. (I prepared them but never ate them!) Now our children have cats and dogs along with snakes, lizards, turtles and the whole menagerie of pets. We however are down to one cat.
Bayley. She thinks she’s the boss of us. She is wrong. She’s only the boss of NY. She and I go round and round on certain things. We have what you might call a love/hate relationship.
How about you? Do you have one pet, two or a whole menagerie?

That is such a cool picture of Bayley! 🙂
We definitely have a menagerie – 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 birds, 2 snakes and a pond full of goldfish. 🙂

I grew up in a house with a lot of different pets. Fish, hermit crabs, hamsters, parakeets, cockatiels, and cockatoos. None at our house now, but we visit the fish and cockatoo at Nana and Papa’s house often.

We only have one now. I had to put my 18-1/2 year old kitty to sleep last December. The hardest thing ever! Right now we have a 14 year old dog…she is such a love!
