It’s been a very interesting and memorable year for me and my family and I’m looking forward to a memorable 2008. I’m also looking forward to bringing in the New Year with a quiet uneventful New Year’s Eve. Especially after last year!

What are your plans for New Year’s Eve?
Karen says
Hi Cathi!
WOW! Let’s hope this New Year’s Eve is a LOT quieter than last years!!
Us? We’ll just stay home, watch movies, stuff our faces, witness the ball dropping in NY and then the hubs and I will poop out and go to bed. The kids are allowed to stay up as late as they want to on New Year’s Eve, so they probably won’t make it to bed until around 4:00 a.m.

Jim & I are going to stay home and watch movies. We’ll make a ham dinner, and then fondue (because his family does). It should be nice, I’m not much of a party animal.

We’re going to my brother’s house to celebrate. It ought to be fun with a 3 yr old and 10 month old twins who get really cranky when they’re up past their bed time. Hopefully they’ll fall asleep over there in their pack and play!!

Hi Cathi. I followed the link and read about your what happened to you and your husband last year. It must have been a scary experience. I hope that this year will be all good experience for you and your family.
We stay home and enjoy medya noche, a traditional dinner to welcome the new year then after the fireworks display, we head over to my MIL’s to join the family party.

We like to stay home, play games, and watch movies in our PJs. At midnight, we launch fireworks and drink sparkling cider. We go outside and make a lot of noise. The next day, we eat Black eyed peas for lunch and watch all the college football bowl games (Go Gators)
We will probably have people over to play Apples To Apples and Charades this year.
