We have about 6 trees that are supposed to be fruit trees according to the previous owners. We have lived here 6 years and none have ever produced a piece of fruit in that time. I would love to have apricots!
We don’t have any. Our neighbors had a few, and would share the fruit with us. Unfortunately they moved last week, and the new owners cut them all down.
We do have fruit trees – we have an apple tree that was here when we moved in, we usually get at least 100-200 apples off it each year…though we did cut it way back this year, so we might not get very many apples this time…but next year will be a different story. 🙂 I also planted a ‘Fruit Cocktail’ tree – this will be the first year it will be producing fruit, and will have nectarines, peaches, plums, and apricots all from the same tree. I also planted a 5-on-1 Apple Tree that will give me Red Delicious, Yellow Delicious, Dark Red Jonathan, Yates and Winesap apples. And if that weren’t enough, I planted 6 cherry trees that should give me a decent amount of cherries this year – if the birds don’t swipe them first! 🙂
We have a pesky Mulberry tree in our yard. Wish I had something as amazing as an apricot tree. Not sure I would ever be able to leave while it had fruit.
We have tons of fruit trees but our apricot trees are still bare. We have persimmons, figs, lemons (big and small), oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, loquats, kumquats and apricots. I think that’s all of them LOL
