10 Things to do in February
Send a Secret Valentine
February is the month we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Send a Valentine’s Day card to someone. Someone you know that may be alone. Someone who is lonely for one reason or another. It will make their day, their week and even their month!

Feed the Birds
Set up feeders in your yard or grab a bag of feed and take a walk in the park, at the beach or lake. It will make you smile and it will definitely make the birds happy.
Watch the Clouds
When I worked in kindergarten I would lay in the grass with the kiddos showing them how the clouds slowly moved across the sky AND how sometimes you can see animal shapes.
It. Was. Fabulous!
They learned and loved it and were always excited to show me something special they could see in the clouds.
Watch a Nature or History Documentary
Besides the educational aspect it’s enjoyable. And… it can be a step back in time or an opportunity to travel all while in the safety of your home.
Frame a Favorite Photo
Find a favorite photo, put it in a frame, hang it on the wall or set it on a shelf. Easy peasy and I’m betting it will make you and others smile.
Smile a lot
It doesn’t cost a thing and it will make you and everyone around you happier. It’s true!
Count your Blessings
It doesn’t matter how bad your day is there’s always one thing that isn’t as bad as everything else. That is a blessing and life is full of them!
Friend Someone New
Do you know someone who is alone or maybe just having a hard time with all that’s happening in the world? Give them a call, send them a note or take them a treat. Everyone needs a friend and someone might need your friendship more than you know.
Observe the Speed Limit
Yup… observe the speed limit. Not too hard to do. And it could very well save a life. It’s easy to get caught up in the ‘fast lane’ but try taking life (and driving) a bit slower.
Conduct a Family Emergency Drill
Just do it. Practice what to do in case of a fire, an earthquake, hurricane, tornado, or even a home invasion. Plan escape routes, safe places, and where to meet if going outside the house. Every drill should be individual to your family’s needs.
